HD TV’s have been around for a long while now but we are only beginning to actually use the potential of HD.

Over recent months we have seen Sky and the BBC increase the amount of their programmes available in HD  and it is big news that the BBC have decided to show the Grand National in high definition.

It is not overly surprising that  the BBC have made the decision to show the horse race in high definition as they continually look to expand their HDTV options but it is still a big step forward for HDTV which, as mentioned before, even though it has been out for a long time now is still relatively unused.
