Sony To Delay PS3 3D Blu-ray SupportDue to the launch of new Sony 3DTV’s in the summer Sony have said that they are releasing a new firmware update that will allow 3D blu-rays to be watched on the Ps3, however it had been expected to arrive early in the summer but this has now been delayed until the end of the year.

What Sony have organised the update for is to make the PS3 compatible with 3D games but not blu-rays although this will eventually happen.

Sony have plans to release 4 games in 3D in June Wipeout, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust.

Although Sony are going to update the PS3 consoles for free to make them compatible with the new 3D Blu-rays it will be a disappointment to many PS3 owners planning to buy a 3DTV but save on the cost if the 3D Blu-ray player.
