lg_thin_plasma-288x300TV manufacturer LG have unveiled a new slimline HDTV which on initial viewing may well be one of the thinnest televisions available in the market today.

The South Korean based manufacturer – the countries third largest conglomerate – produce electronics, chemicals and telecommunications products and are the second largest manufacturers of LCD TVs in the world.

The new plasma TV set, branded by the company as the “Skinny Frame” range, will be available in both 50″ and 60″ screens.

The televisions boast three HDMI ports, USB connectivity options, and a refresh rate of 600Hz. The new 1080p TVs get their thin name because of the slim screen border that measures just under one inch (25mm) thick.

No release date has been set in the United Kingdom for these new televisions as of yet.
